Sun Prairie Utilities (SPU) is partnering with the Sun Prairie Wellness Coalition to bring attention to Mental Health Awareness Month in May 2026 by providing free green-colored LED light bulbs so residents can place them where someone can see them from the street.
Social Media: You can enter to win a prize by sharing a photo of your green light bulb on social media with the hashtag #stigmafreesp . Shine a green light on mental health and show your support!
When and Where: Light bulbs can be picked up at the SPU office during open hours in April and May (2026), while supplies last. Make sure to pick one up before they’re gone!
T-shirts and Yard Signs
The coalition is also selling 'Mental Health Matters' t-shirts for $10. The design was created by a local high school student, and helps to build awareness around mental wellness. If you would like to purchase a shirt, click here to find the order form. Pickup dates are scheduled for April 27-30, 2026.
