Coloring Contest

Sun Prairie Utilities is hosting a coloring contest in celebration of Public Power Week, October 5-11, and the winning contestant gets to ride in a bucket truck to school! 

Who: Kids who are in K through 5 grade in a Sun Prairie school, and their guardian(s)/parent(s) are Sun Prairie Utilities customers.Sun Prairie Utilities U is for Utility Coloring Page.
When: The contest runs from Tuesday, September 2, to Friday, October 3.
Where: Email communications@myspu.org a picture of the decorated “U is for Utility” coloring page, and include the kid’s name, school, and grade. There can only be one submission per child.
Why: SPU is celebrating Public Power Week by highlighting all of the contestants’ art via social media and giving the winner a ride to school in a bucket truck.
After October 3, the SPU judging panel will deliberate and choose the decorated page based on the following criteria: 

  • Is it creative?
  • Is it engaging?
  • Does it look like the artist had fun?

Prize: Staff will highlight the contestants during Public Power Week on SPU’s Facebook and Instagram accounts and name the winner. The winner will also be contacted via the email used to submit the art, and a date will be scheduled for a bucket truck ride to the kids’ school.

Note: Submissions will not be considered unless the coloring page and information are shared with the utility. The first name, school, and grade will be used for administering the contest and to celebrate entries via social media. Information will also be made available to requesters as required by Wisconsin Open Records laws and requirements.
